MEET THE INSTRUCTOR
Sean Gunther
CFI, CFII, AGI, IGI

Background
I recently moved to the Northern Virginia area, and I have two years of instructing experience. I am willing to meet you anywhere in the DC, Southern Maryland, and Northern Virginia area, and will operate anywhere within the contiguous US for ferry flights.
I love working with all ages, and I believe aviation should be accessible to everyone. It is never too late to learn something new, and I know what it is like to change careers. If you have any questions prior to scheduling a flight, please feel free to reach out via email or phone - I am happy to talk about your needs and ensure that the training is customized to your end goals.
Education
I hold my CFI, CFII, AGI, and IGI certificates. I also have high performance and complex ratings. My flight education has been spread across the country and between both Part 141 and Part 61 schools, so I've had a variety of experienced instructors to learn new techniques from.
In additional to my flight education, I hold a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering and an M.S. in Flight Test Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology. For my master's degree, I had the privilege of flight testing the Pipistrel Velis Electro, the world's first type certified electric aircraft, and comparing its flight characteristics to its internal combustion sister, the Pipistrel Virus SW.
